A patient who was having such a good time running around outside accidentally ran into a metal drag. A piece of metal had punctured the skin under his front leg. He was stuck!
Luckily his owners had heavy duty wire clippers and were able to free him from the drag, but a piece of metal was still in his skin. They brought him to the clinic and we sedated him.
Once he was relaxed the piece came right out. Fortunately, the metal was just under the skin and did not harm any vital areas of the body. We flushed the wound and with a course of antibiotics it healed up just fine. Here are some photos:
